    NOT GUILTY!

Took over a year to get to court. Spent whole day waiting and they got me in last.

Based on your previous posts I assume you were guilty but found a way to play the system - congratulations

The Crown could not prove it was served within 14 days. They relied upon the reminder which was filled in as their evidence of speeding and it turns out that the reminder isnt a valid NIP it just looks like one.

Well technically you cannot be guilty of an offence unless they rule or you admit guilt. But i never denied the speeding. :)

    Nice one.

Reminds me of when they took me to court over 58 in a 50 zone.

Took nearly 18 months to get to court and when I finally went I was the last 1 of the day to go in.

They asked if I was driving, I said possibly, they asked if it was me in the picture (you couldn't see anything other than a white shirt and a pair of glasses as the sun glare washed everything else out), I replied possibly.

Case was dismissed as saying possibly is not an admission of guilt.

did they send you a notice within the 14 days and couldn’t prove that it was in the time frame or did they not send it in time?

That’s interesting. What’s to stop everyone saying I didn’t receive it on time? Surely the onus would be on the defendant to disprove it?

Well 9/10 are just 3 points and a fine. This was a ban no matter what so i had little to lose by contesting it. I wouldnt do this for 3 points.

I had evidence that i had postal problems prior to the offence which was enough to put the ball back in the crowns court to prove it was served.

Well done. Clearly my own opinion, and not knowing the circumstances of the alleged offence, but it’s 12 strikes and you are out so it is worth fighting each and every one.

Did you defend yourself or get a brief?

I can tell you’re over the moon about it but I find it a bit distasteful to brag about it. Would you be as overjoyed if you’d run someone over before getting away with it on a technicality?
This is why we’re getting mandatory speed limiters forced on us soon. Well done.

    There is always one.

You live on a tax haven which runs the worlds most deadly motorbike race which kills people.

Lets have a conversation about what is distasteful...

PS: people dont get away with killing people on technicalities. There is a difference between criminal offences and driving offences. Clearly you watch too many american TV shows.
