    Hey cutters

As above, recently had this issue where the idrive keeps restarting randomly. Looked it up and there's videos on how to reset it. Hold down both eject buttons (for cd and dvd) and stereo power button all together until it restart's. Did this and it seems to be ok, although I've only driven it on 2 short journeys after that.

    Is this a known issue?
Anyone have any info on this?

When was the last time your battery was replaced? Could be an early warning sign of it being on it's way out.
When mine got low, the idrive wouldn't even turn on until I was about 20 mins into my journey and the alternator had charged the battery enough to start it up. Could be as simple as that.....

Thanks for reply. I only bought it a few weeks ago.
Come to think of it, if I sit with the key in the ignition and playb with idrive with car not started I get the battery light come on after a couple of minutes. Is that also a sign of weak battery? Or is it just a feature on the car to preserve battery life?
