Does it happen at any particular time or constantly? Still happen when climate control is off?

OK this is strange today when I started up my M3 for the first time in a month,

I could hear this hissing almost like radio static coming from the car, at first I thought It might be might aux lead or something but I looked over and I could see my unit was off and AC was also off,

I've read a few threads saying it could be the break booster or something,

Turn car off and on and its gone??

I want to find out this sound OP is that the similar sound you hear?

    Two things

Either coming from passenger speaker which is normal as my car did the same.

Or the fan inside the heater controls stays on like a pc fan.
Takes ages to switch off but totally normal

My previous m3 did this, to the point id keep pulling the window up switch thinking the window is not fully up. I would ask passengers to check door fully closed etc. Never got to the bottom of it.

I had the same on my last GTI and it was brake booster. Not sure if it applies to the M3
