Regrettably for sale is my much loved and cherished BMW E46 M3 coupe SMG, she is a march 2003 (03) car and in lovely condition inside and out, there is some minor age related wear, however she will put a lot of 3 year old cars to shame, I am a mature BMW and M enthusiast and true petrol head, having owned 11 BMW's to date including 3 M cars, a manual E46 M3 and an E60 M5, I am fully acclimatised to the cost and requirements of BMW M ownership. I purchased the car as a good E46 M3 in early 2015 and in the 3+ years in my ownership I have made this a great E46 M3, this car has been a cherished occasional car with no expense spared, the majority of major and most expensive common issues found with the ownership of an E46 M3 have been dealt with, as can be seen by the information included in the write up below. I also carry out all detailing work to the car myself only using the myriad of top end clean products that I have.

New Business venture forces genuine yet hesitant sale, running the new business and having a family won't allow the spare time to which I have dedicated to my M3 to date, therefore regrettably it is time for someone to benefit from the fruits of my labour.

My car is a rust free example finished in gleaming carbon black pearl with contrasting electric, memory and heated imola red nappa leather interior in very good condition, very well specified car with factory satnav with updated maps dvd, television function, however I never bothered updating this with the digital module. Harman[IMG] kardon sound system with 6 disc multi changer, cruise control, climate control, electric front and rear windows, glass sunroof, folding rear seat option, interior trims wrapped in carbon fibre effect vinyl wrap, deep dish 19” BBS LM-R replica wheels wrapped in CSL size Michelin pilot super sport rubber, fronts are almost new and have only covered around 2.5k miles, rears are approx 50% life remaining.

My car has had 6 previous owners and is currently just below 105k miles, however the service history described below illustrates that no expense has been spared in keeping this M3 at its best, all glass in the car is original, including the windscreen, I have not experienced any issues with the SMG system in my ownership, gear change is sharp and precise.

    Service history.

Inspection 2 service along with head gasket replacement and vanos overhaul. - 97025 miles 25/11/2016 prestige german cars.
Oil service along with crank rod bearings replaced, clutch replaced and MOT - 103371 16/05/2018 JWS developments Chesterfield.
Oil replaced following 500 mile rod bearing run in period - 103850 23/05/2018.
Next service (inspection 1) due in 14000 miles.

Rod bearings were replaced earlier in the cars life as part of the BMW recall, I have an email from BMW UK to confirm this, however didn’t bother investigating when/ where as was replacing them again anyway.

New/ upgraded parts installed in my ownership.
I purchased the car at 87000 miles.
    1. Head gasket replaced, Vanos overhauled, inspection 2 service, replace salmon relay, replace rear exhaust clamps and gaskets. 21/11/2016. 97020 miles.
    2. Carbon fibre full size ‘CSL’ style front splitter.
    3. CSL style carbon fibre rear diffuser.
    4. Carbon fibre extended steering wheel paddles.
    5. Front brake discs replaced with stop tech oem discs and stoptech fast road pads. Rear pads replaced 14 June 2017 99694 miles.
    6. Lemforder nearside front wishbone and ball joint replaced 15/09/2017.
    7. Bare metal front end paint refresh (both wings, bonnet and bumper) sept 2017 to remediate stone chips and a very small bubble forming on the drivers side wheel arch and was dealt with immediately.
    8. Boot floor reinforced using PS designs reinforcement plates, powerflex black series Polyurethane RACB sub frame bushes, powerflex black series polyurethane trailing arm bushes, diff bush replaced, prop shaft doughnut replaced, new HSD monopro coil over suspension installed with adjustable camber top mounts and compression adjust, including adjustable front drop links, front and rear overhauled brake callipers and new braided flexible hoses installed, front air temp sensor replaced. 18/12/2017 101669 miles.
    9. Crank rod bearings replaced as preventative measure (I have kept the old ones), new LUK clutch installed with upgraded hack engineering stainless steel pivot pin, updated CSL SMG gearbox rev matching software with sport button memory and M track mode installed, purple tag ‘quick rack’ steering rack installed and coded along with solid (unbushed) steering coupling, full CSL suspension geometry and wheel alignment setup (with slightly more aggressive camber -2.5 deg front and -2.0 rear) 16/05/2018. 103371 miles
    10. Engine oil replaced again following 500 mile 'run in period' of replacement rod bearings 23/05/2018. ~103850 miles.
    11. Exhaust - supersprint resonated ‘X’ pipe centre section installed 16/05/2018, ‘euro style’ tailpipes installed
    12. ITG panel type free flow air filter.

    Very slight negatives.
    1. Sat nav display has the common issue of some pixelation.
    2. Has intermittent parking sensor fault.

I'm am asking £12,000 firm for my car. Car is HPI clear and free of any finance.

Considering the condition of this 15+ year old M3, the subtle modifications and the preventative maintenance work carried out, I feel after researching the current market for E46 M3's this is up there with the best examples over and above this price, please don't mistaken this as the same car as the £9-10K examples advertised, my M3 has had in excess of £6,000 of recent maintenance and remedial works invested. Genuine buyers only please.

Any additional information required please ask, Initial contact to be made via private message please.

Thanks to all who have read my 'in depth' write up

Yes unfortunately the Flickr app won’t allow you to generate BB Code links, it can only be done via the Flickr website, or other third party apps, e.g. Shares

I've added some additional photographs which show close ups of all of the wheel arches, bonnet and engine bay to illustrate how good they are.
