Just running some quotes on a new car and these guys are coming back the cheapest, never really heard of them but they're nearly £100 cheaper

I use them but never had to claim. They’re only a broker and are underwritten by someone else.

My missus is with them (was the cheapest comparison quote). I was with them a couple years ago and had to claim for a key and they were spot on to be fair. I said I would use my own key guy and sent them the invoice and they paid it.

As mjn says they are all underwritten by the same 2/3 companies

Word of warning. We cancelled my wifes 1st central policy as we sold her car on the weekend. The will take a £50 fee regardless of the scenario. We made the point that they wont insure her on the new car we plan to buy so we have to cancel the policy because its illegal for her old car to have two policies on it. They sai fair enough we won't charge the cancellation fee but we will charge tou £50 arrangement fee instead o_O:roflmao:

For transparency 1st central are good to deal with but I've just been bummed for a car I insured, never drove and never owned in the end.

Long story short, insured car for day of collection, fault developed left car to be rectified, 2 weeks later car still not rectified sale cancelled, been charged 17 days insurance, £50 cancellation fee, £50 arrangement fee.

They said in this instance they can waiver the £50 if i can prove I never owned the vehicle however with DVLA taking ages to reply via email I've cut my losses as it could take up to 4 weeks before they take me off the v5 as an owner for said vehicle.

So £127 taken for not driving a car is lovely :lolwsign:
