Genuine M performance ones are definitely separate pieces, the copies are usually all moulded together.

MPE is quiet with the valves closed so don’t have to be that pr$ck, mind you I don’t have neighbours lol
Having had a valve controller on the CP exhaust and now the MPE, I was never a huge fan of the sound but now love it, much more drama. No drone...

Yes from BMW and a genuine loom too, worked out about £900, I fitted them and my dealer coded them for £75, a lot of money but I love them!
