How to reset engine management light - The M3cutters

As above my yellow light came on today the on with the engine with the fan on top and on the side, BROKEN COIL

I have put new coils on but I AM NOT PAYING BMW £40 to reset can anyone help please

As far as i know there is no cheap way of getting it off, you would either have to connect to the ecu yourself with a diagnostics tool and reset it that way or get bmw to do it, one suggestion would be to ring around a few dealers or indy's and see if one of them would do it free or for a small charge!
Don't quote me on this but disconnecting your battery for 10 mins might reset the fault appearing, worth a try!

There are a few garages I know in Wolves that will do it for around £20.

Its the only way mate

Shop around to get a slightly cheaper price but thats fair from the stealer!

It will only log the code on the ECU

Your misfire will not be there

Jack the rear of the car up and run it for 5 mins and the abs light comes on and the engine light goes off......

And its free I done it yesterday I ran in 6th gear doing around 70mph

Just resets the light, but the code is still logged to the ECU
