As far as i know there is no cheap way of getting it off, you would either have to connect to the ecu yourself with a diagnostics tool and reset it that way or get bmw to do it, one suggestion would be to ring around a few dealers or indy's and see if one of them would do it free or for a small charge!
Don't quote me on this but disconnecting your battery for 10 mins might reset the fault appearing, worth a try! |

Shop around to get a slightly cheaper price but thats fair from the stealer! It will only log the code on the ECU Your misfire will not be there |

Jack the rear of the car up and run it for 5 mins and the abs light comes on and the engine light goes off......
And its free I done it yesterday I ran in 6th gear doing around 70mph |
