Also, just to add, forget buying one of these for the road, they are useless. A bit like buying a Murcielago/Diablo to go to Tesco's in, horrid. I only track mine, if I wanted a road bike Id have gone for something very different but road riding bores me to tears.
3 stunning pieces of 2 wheeled machinery.

Agree with this especially with a power commander, a hooligan bike that makes you grin if necessary. I have the blue one in the garage.

A stock litre bike over a 1/4 mile is basically un-touchable. Sheer power to weight is always going to win. The skill needed to get the absolutely best time from one however is a different matter.

This - no way an M3 is anywhere near the class and feeling a panigale can bring.

748 maybe ?

M3 equivalent would be more something like the following:

- Honda CBR600RR
- Yamaha R6
- Kawasaki ZX6-R and the like

These bikes command a lot of respect and are classified as Supersports. So just like our M3's, high performance cars, but not quite Supercars. These Supersports bikes are quick enough to destroy most Supercars

1098S Tricolore (An angry mad thing with too much low end torque and pre wheelie control)
