Statistically there are less days of rain in October than April so I had no qualms signing up for the October date.

At the end of the day, whatever the date, Nur and Spa both seem to have their own micro climates so you are always at the mercy of the Gods.

Anyone else down for October?

Whoop. See you there. I just started a thread in Members Rides section, but I canít sit still so it will probably have changed a lot by October.

Your car looks great, unsure what I'll be arriving it yet if plans go as I want the Mini I'm getting will tick the boxes for me and then I'll possibly have 1320 Mini on my doorstep stick there 400bhp Turbo conversion magic on it.

Or all else fails be the F80 M3 but I change cars a fair amount and 10 months is a long way away.

I'm also booked for October - at th same event last year, with CDays the October track day was fantastic weather whereas earlier in May there was rain all day, so who knows!

Also booked May with DN again and willl probably book another one with them for later in the year.

Must be 200 cars booked in, all at a minimum of £379 which is £75,800! Take away rental of the track and insurances etc! Got to be 40k at least?

Track hire is roughly €65k, and I think the max number of cars is 150.

Seriously??? Javelin told us it was around 18k? Those figures mean they would be running it at a massive loss?

Track hire is definitely in the ball park figure of £55k with the current Euro rate but you then have obligations for things like safety such as the ambulances on stand by I image it's equates to £60k.

£60,000 to hire.

200 cars with advance rate of £379 = £75,800

200 cars at normal rate of £499 = £99,800

Usually these days do sell out in advance but certainly a £15,000 - £40,000 cash pot before paying staff and your own overheads. Bearing in mind some people will pay additional fee's for passengers, additional drivers etc.

In peak season 18k isn't far off what the circuit costs to hire per hour!

Completely. I've lapped in the snow in April on more than one occasion. Not worried

How do you turn back on a lap - you mean you literally turned around because of conditions?
