Had a couple of Mini's and a 2 series diesel. Can't say as I've ever been bothered, it's a curtesy car, you only have it for a day or two and so long as it gets me to and from work, that's all that matters.

When my E46 323Ci had the boot floor done I got given a then new 118i I had 2 different ones as they sold one.
2012 I got given 118d. Actually a very decent drive and quite good fun despite its looks. Easier around central London.
Cotswold gave a BMW Mini for a week.
2013 I got a 520d I actually prefer the 118d which was fun.

Back in the day my dad got given a then newish 2000 E46 330i as a courtesy car for his 323Ci.

Last year I had a new 330d touring for 6 months while they tried to figure out the problem on my 335i. Put 8k on it as well!

M3, M4, 640d, X5, 7 Series. My dealer always sorts me out if I call in advance.

Jesus, they must like you.

Just out of interest were the M cars "run in"? I test drove an M4 and the fella asked me to keep the revs under 5000... but I did creep over once or three times.

420d coupe 420d convertible, 520d and X3 XDRIVE35D, the last 2 I’d asked for a larger car as we have an X3 XDRIVE30d and the coupe’s were not big enough for the kids in the back and boot space, we’ll the convertible, we couldn’t get sod all in the boot!

Id said there’s normally a reason someone has a certain sized car and said I need i similar sized replacement from now on and they have done so!

Itís OK, but Iím fortunate enough to also run a Factory R56 JCW which is great fun.

Still.... appreciated though.
So i dropped it off for a simple Inspection Service and got a call telling me they'll also carry out a recall check.

I got the usual video sent later in the day telling me the gearbox sump is leaking at the gasket so they're going to replace that and also it's failed the safety recall check meaning they'll need to swap put the offending heater blower widget.

Of course i can stay in the Mini and it should be done by the next day.

Today I got a call telling me the heater blower widget is on back order from Germany with no estimated delivery date as yet.

Credit to the dealership though. After I told them I couldn't drive about in a convertible Mini for that long... they got onto Enterprise car hire who are sorting me out a BMW replacement loan car while mine is at the dealership.

I can't fault them... I just miss my M3!!!

When I take my 14 yr old, 125k mileage E46 into my local garage, the guy just points out the local bus stop to me.

Does this count ?
