Car: VW Boring, Mk2 Golf G60
Default 2003 Titanium Silver M3 OEM CSL's BBK, RACP, rod bearings, suspension, oil pump done

Hi there
After a long discussion with myself I have decided to put my 2003 manual titanium silver M3 up for sale.

It has been owned by me for 3 years and 18,000 miles (and a fellow cutter for 5 years), I took it in part exchange for my old 135i with the idea of running it for a few months then selling it on, but it was such a good car I kept it and turned it into a bit of a project car.

Car is in very good condition for its age, run on super only, washed once a week and bodywork regularly treated with Autoglym hd wax. And leather conditioner

Current Mileage 117,600 miles but will increase as in daily use

Spec as following

Genuine CSL wheels, 10mm spacers, 545i short shift mod, F10 gear knob, Evolve Map (341.6 bhp) , Dino’s 6 pot Brembo front brakes, Porsche 4 pot rear brakes, full suspension refresh, axle carrier plated up, Powerflex bushes and all new ball joints, big end bearings done and new oil pump, Black leather, sat nav with CD screen, parrot hands free….and cupholders

In my ownership I have done the following (sorry for the long list, this details a lot of the above)

Addressed any rust issues, painted the front bumper, mirror mounts and installed new headlight lenses

New grilles, (side/front)

New inner rear lights

Suspension refresh c/w Eibach springs, Bilstein B4 front shocks, B6 rears, new spring pads, front top mount bearings, BMW rear top mounts, bump stops, Z3 rear reinforcement Plates, BMW front reinforcement plates, front and rear Lemforder ARB drop links

New leather gaiters, cupholders, gearstick surround

Hack engineering Vanos solenoid, plate and o rings

Dino’s 6 pot brembo front brake kit (painted red with BMW performance stickers), HEL lines, new Brembo sport pads (pads fitted last week) CSL discs, done approximately 12k miles

4 pot Porsche rear brakes (painted red with BMW performance stickers), new seals, anti-rattle shims, creation motor sport brackets HEL stainless steel lines, fitted in March this year, genuine BMW discs replaced last year discs done approximately 10k miles, rear handbrake shoes changed

Big end bearings changed at JWS Developments, November 2017, new BMW oil pump installed at the same time

545i short shifter mod and F10 M5 illuminated gear knob

Genuine CSL wheels with CSL sized good year eagle tyres, refurbed at metal magic April last year, not run through winter as I have winter wheels, tyres and wheels done approximately 2k miles

M-Track, sport mode on, shift lights and CSL warm up lights coded

10mm hub centric spacers, front and rear

Mirrorjohn replacement rear view mirror

Macca 1995’s air scoop

LED interior lights

Rebuilt the folding mirrors with new gears, both fold up properly

Rear axle carrier plates up, whilst this was being done, I had Powerflex subframe bushes and RTABS installed, Lemforder upper/lower trailing arm bushes, Lemforder upper/lower rear ball joints installed, new Lemforder camber arms and bolts and front Lemforder lollipop bushes done, not forgetting a new Lemforder prop donut, all stretch bolts replaced with new BMW bolts at huge cost, car was aligned after all this

Differential seals replaced, diff oil changed with correct BMW oil at 110k miles

CPV seal changed

New BMW water pump and thermostat in April this year, all belts changed at the same time using Gates belts.

Baris modified BM54, with 4 pre-outs and a wiring modification so you can power the front speakers via an external amplifier.

Dashcam preparation

New key housing from BM Keys

As you can read its been a no expense spared car, this was to carry on the previous owner’s work, as an example of what he’d done, in his ownership he’d done the Lemforder front arms, both throttle position sensors, ignition coils, countless oil/diff oil and gearbox oil changes

New wings fitted mid-2015, so no rust issues there.

I have sunk about 11 grand into the car in my ownership, it has served me well but as I’ve started Cycling again since November last year I have done 2000 miles, its not getting the use and there’s no point keeping it anymore (I already have a second performance car (Mk2 Golf G60 that I’ve owned for 12 years and I could never part with).

All work in my ownership done by fellow cutter and close friend Matt3087 of MLC Autos/DC Autos, knows E46 M3s like the back of his hand and has owned several of them.

Bad points as every car has them

Some pixels in the CD player nav screen have gone, highly annoying as I bought a new one of eBay at substantial cost and it lasted 11 days!!!

Rear parking sensors don’t work, I replaced them all with the Land Rover Valeo sensors in 2017, they lasted 6 months then failed again, I couldn’t be bothered removing the bumper again to fix them

The Porsche rear brakes squeal a little (reading on the web nearly everyone who has done the mod has this issue), they have been blathered in copper slip, have genuine anti rattle shims installed but when cold they squeal, the original single piston callipers with HEL braided lines will be supplied to the new owner as well.

Steering wheel could do with been retrimmed

tyre pressure light comes on intermittently when travelling down motorways, this is due to the TYRES and not the car, when running my winter wheels or the continental M3 sized tyres i had before the Goodyears it didnt come on once.

Finally, Price, to buy a car with all the above work, won’t be particularly cheap, my price is…

£10,995, is it too high or low, I don’t know, with all the work done I think its priced pretty fair, you could buy a nail off ebay for £8k and sink a load of money into it or buy this pretty much sorted M3 with most of the big jobs done and a few choice mods to boot.

Number plate has been removed plate number is LF53YWN car has full 12 month MOT from 15/06/18
HPI check done all clear 15/06/18
6 previous owners

Cheers for reading, James

That’s lovely and looks well sorted. The combination of the CSL wheels, red calipers and the silver bodywork really look good.

You should no problem finding a new owner for it.

It's a shame you are selling but the new owner will have great car with all the major work already done.

Crikey, after reading the description I was expecting to see a price of £13k. I should've waited and bought this one.

Looks like a lovely car mate, well sorted and well priced. GLWS

I am glad you are selling though because hopefully that’ll mean I won’t have to read the words “Titty Silver” every time I see one of your posts

Looks very similar to the one I've just sold, it has a few more mods and is a facelift so pricing is about right IMO.

Good luck with it.

Sounds on the cheap side given the work done, but it will definitely sell fast!

Not a fan of silver usually but that does look really good, great history, realistic price too with everything that's been done to it.
Wish my house would sell like this week, getting really bored driving my old Astra all the time. Would love this for a w/end toy.

Car still for sale, due to a bloody time waster having me hang on for the last week, the first viewing too! came round, couldn't pick one fault or issue spent 2.5hrs at my expense driving/going through paper work/photos texting all week etc. has casually now disappeared off the face of the earth, why do they bother...boils my Pi$$

Car to be advertised on the usual places this evening i might even up the price a bit, cheers james

ash i ought to but its not in my nature,

Its on ebay now so i'm preparing to do battle with the time wasters

I'm not too bothered about the cash, if a genuine buyer comes and says he's seen the ad on cutters, he/she is welcome to the car for £11k cant be fairer than that

cheers james
