Default Introduction to MirrorJohn.com

Welcome to my M3Cutters Sponsor Section. My name is John and I am the founder, owner and operator of MirrorJohn.com. I am based in Totton, near Southampton, UK. I am really happy to be onboard with such a great bunch of people. This is a great forum that has provided me with lots of useful information over the years and I now hope to bring something back to the members.

I am a BMW rear-view mirror specialist with huge amounts of experience in the repair and refurbishment of Auto Dimming Rear-view mirrors. I offer repairs, refurbishments, exchange and sales. I can save you a huge amount of money on the cost of a replacement mirror from BMW and am actually supplying you with a much improved product over the original mirror as well. Unfortunately there was an initial manufacturing issue with many of the auto-dim rear-view mirrors fitted to our cars by BMW. This means that they are very prone to failing. When they fail, they dont just stop dimming, they have a tendency of leaking out their auto-dimming fluid from the mirror. This is nasty corrosive stuff that eats through everything it comes in to contact with. This includes your mirror casing and any parts of your dash, gear surround, gator etc that it touches. This is such a common fault that it is more of WHEN it will fail rather than IF. I use a new technology in my replacement auto-dim glass units. This uses a gel rather than a liquid. It wont ever leak out again and also dims slightly quicker and goes slightly darker (when required).

It's not just auto-dim rear view mirrors I deal with. I also sell replacement wing mirror glass both standard and auto-dimming. I supply custom Mirror Gauges hidden inside the rear-view mirror behind the glass. They are invisible until turned on and then shine through the glass. The mirror even still retains its normal dimming function. The gauge links in to your cars OBD port so can display a wealth of data in real time using a variety of displays and 'skins'. For the stealth OEM++ look. A great modification for people that dont want to ruin the look of their interior with a 'Jap style' stuck on gauge but would still like to see Live Car data. Hidden when needed to be, but there when you need it to inform you of various engine information, vehicle stats and sensor information. It is a useful must-have mod and looks really cool!

About me: I am what you could call a petrolhead. I really am a true enthusiast about the E46 M3 and all other drivers cars out there. I have got petrol in my blood and always will have. Everything automotive related is my life and passion. Cars, bikes, driving, racing, F1, Moto GP, spectating, modifying. I have owned a 2001 BMW E46 M3 Coupe since 2009. During that time it has been improved, refreshed, repaired and modified. It is an evolution, as I change parts and find better fixes to problems, repair items and make improvements on an already brilliant car. My car is a perfect test bed for all the products I offer you. I can test them myself in real life on the road to see how they perform. That way I know I am offering you the best products for the job. I only want the best for my car, so I only want to offer you the best too. Most things I sell are actually currently on my M3 as we speak. I am not here to make this in to a big business and become a faceless company. I am here doing what I love and helping out fellow enthusiasts on the way. My company is MirrorJohn and I am John! You will always be dealing with me personally and I think the personal touch is important.

Being a Petrol-Head I get to meet lots of enthusistic like minded people who share my passion. I am a long serving member and Sponsor on here and on TotalMCars forum. Many people will know me by the same Forum name I use on many different Forums. You may know me as: JohnH79. I am friends with a lot of other like-minded Car owners through these Forums and from car shows and meets. You can read reviews on here, on my website and on www.TotalMCars.com forum. I have many hundreds of happy customers here in the UK and Worldwide. I ship internationally and in most cases offer a Tracked/Signed-For service. I try and keep everything in stock and I normally ship out within 1 day. Often I send out the same day you pay (depending on time and time-zone). I am proud to say that lots of my customers return to buy different products from me after being very happy with their experience.

Please message me through here or email me at [email protected] if you have any questions at all. I would love to hear from you. Also, please take a moment to have a look at my website here:

Great to see you taking this step John and love the web site.

I've no doubt that the forced induction lads will be all over the discrete gauges in the rear view mirror......very tidy.

Looking forward to seeing what else you have in mind for the future.

Good luck mate

Thanks for the feedback Paul.

Mirror sent to me Monday, I received it Tuesday, repaired it Tuesday, sent back Wednesday and you received on Thursday. Sounds like a Craig David song!

All mirrors are repaired this quickly meaning you are not without it for long
