Sub 2:20 is virtually identical pace to mine:

I saw your video on YouTube yesterday. Well pedalled.

That’s one quick e36

What tyres/spec?

Thanks very much, nice pedalling yourself.

It'd take a while to list the full spec, but the main bits are S54 with around 390-400bhp and 1130kg dry. Tyres are 225/45/17 DZ03G all round.

Proper car then

I need to try some proper tyres on my car once these R888s are done.

It's pretty sorted. I think there's time to be found in the setup and/or a front splitter. As usual though, funds don't really allow for much!

It's been a good few years since I tried R888s. I remember hating them as they'd go off unbelievably quickly, but that was a used set with god knows how many heat cycles, so not a fair comparison really. Give the Dunlops a go, I doubt you'd be disappointed.

I don't think the Dunlops are available in my sizes. I'll likely try ZZR next.

Every tried AD08Rs? I find them better than 888s, they dont overheat or go off

I didn't really find the R888s going off and I think AD08s have less overall grip.

That said, I want to do some sprints next year which means 1b tyres so that may rule out the ZZRs.

How did the boys in the Caterhams get on? Jade/Steve and someone else I can’t recall?

Being a Caterham owner as well, I’m interested to hear your impressions.

I hired a C400 that day, it went pretty well. It had a few issues but other than that a good day.

Don’t think Steve had one in the end, shame you had to go early my mate Matt said he was meant to instruct you. But your car wasn’t running right

Yah, power steering pump failed. I knew it was suspect, but itís a long story as to replacement pump didnít work, had to revert to the old one as nobody in the country had one.

Caterhams are usually most epic, what issues did it have.

Had a misfire that took them an hour to sort and something with the clutch so not ideal.

But we have hired a few times and normally faultless, so itís just one of those
