Default Alloy Wheel refurb - Warwick/Coventry-ish

Hi,

Need to get the alloys refurbed on my daily driver. Front tyres are not sealing against the rim and I'm getting fed up of having to inflate them every 2/3 days.

Came across these 3 on Google;

http://www.wheelrefurbish.co.uk/

http://alloywheelrefurbishmentuk.co.uk

http://www.spraycraftrepairs.co.uk/

Has anyone used them before or got any recommendations. I'm based in Warwick so ideally looking at somewhere no more than 25/30 miles away.

I've used A1 in Walsall in the past, and while the finish looked good, I wasn't too impressed with how long that finish didn't last..

Or has anyone used tyre sealant/tyre weld type stuff to repair the air loss?

Even if for a few months, as ideally I was planning on holding off the refurb until the spring time....

Thanks

I used this place a few years ago and they were spot on. They even do (or at least used to) a mobile service

I've used these guys a few times...never had a problem with them. They do repairs and powder coating.

If you can make the journey down, I highly recommend Pristine Alloys in Wavendon, just outside of Milton Keynes. BMW use them to repair their alloys too and they've built up a great reputation in the area.

IMHO there are 3 people worth considering:

-City Powdercoaters: At 20 a wheel they are cheap. If you need the wheels back in a hurry I'd pay the 10 a wheel more ; some people I know of have waited weeks to get their wheels back otherwise.

Their finish is better in terms of prepping and smoothness than other people but they do have a lack of finishes, which is why they are cheap I suspect ; they are all solid colours, so fine for a daily driver.

A number of wheel refurbishing people also go to City themselves and then return the wheels to their customers.

-The Wheel Specialist : Their finish isn't much better than City Powdercoaters but they can do a variety of finishes. I may well use them again for my M3 wheels who were previously done by them. They are a Shadow Chrome finish on my wheel which for me is spot on ; I use the car all year round.

Their pricing is reasonable too.

-Pristine Wheels/Alloys ; they are as good as people say they are and are based outside Milton Keynes

Spraycraft IMHO weren't much better than City Powdercoaters and charged over double what City wanted ; For a set of Clio Turbines 15" alloys in Anthracite they wanted 400+VAT ; Even Pristine are a little cheaper!

I think Wheels UK are meant to be as good as Pristine wheels from what someone else told me.
