I want to do Thruxton as I have never been. although I used to watch the touring cars there in the 80's as I lived in Andover.

Do they have garages / covered pits available to put any gear in?

I've only driven one day there but it's a proper fast circuit, I love it!

They have little garages yes, my last day (again with Opentrack) they unlocked the first 18 or so for general use first come first serve... I ended up sharing with a Caterham man to store some stuff in

I recommend pouring coolant on them. That will make your snipper twitch, apparently

You think?

I always try and book Dave's days as they're limited numbers, photography and tuition included... unlike MSV or Javelin. Never had an issue on his days!

My experience with them too.
Ive done 3 thruxton days in last few years in the Clio, all with motorsports events https://www.motorsport-events.com/co...ons/track-days, and they've all been very good. Quite strict (I got moaned at for overtaking on a bend, despite the car indicating and appearing to be stopping!)
90db Noise is killer for most which keeps days quite quiet.
Definitely a tyre killer, but digging deep to take Church with a small lift only is a massive buzz.

I notice the noise restriction is quite low @ 90dB.

My car is std exhaust with an AC Schnitzer rear box, it passes @ Bedford every time, but I can't remember exactly what my dB rating is.

What dB rating is others that have gone to thruxton.

My E46 with Milltek cat-back normally makes 94-96db at Combe, Goodwood etc... but at Thruxton came in at a handy 89db. They seem very lenient and many other louder cars made it on ok... Noble M12, Audi R8 V8 etc...
