Default E93 M3 Newbie

Hi all
just thought I would take the opportunity to join up to the Cutter world.
I bought a E93 M3 on Saturday, in black with fox red interior.
So far so good, and am really enjoying learning the new dynamics of it.

Small issues so far are an intermitant glove box opening fault (believe this is common) and the tyre pressure monitor once showed I had a puncture but I simply adjusted the pressures to the correct level and reset it. No repeat error so far.

Things I still need to resolve.....
I have two L shaped bits of black platic trim in the glove box that I can't find a home for yet. They are marked with L and R on the back and they likely go on something like seat runners or brackets in the boot for the roof but I've yet to track down where. I'll find their place at some point.
I've cleared out the old addresses from the satnav, but have been unable to clear the list of recent destinations. I'm sure its in the menu somewhere, just need to look harder.

Oh, an odd thing - what is it with the temp controls? There's the main display with knobs and temp/recirc options and then another manual temp wheel (red to blue) up above that. Whats the point of it?

Looking forward to learning more, and enjoying the drive.
Roll on summer so i can get the roof down.

Welcome Michael,

I'm not entirely sure but I think the dial is for dialling down the heater in the summer time. More heat in the winter less in the summer. But then why would that be the case when you have aircon????.....the jury's still out and I'm no heating engineer!

As for the glove box issue, had that myself and blasted the internals of the mechanism with WD40 and no problems since.
