Default Help guys.....getting back into an M.....advise

So, I chopped my last m4 CP into get a 530d. Now I'm missing an m.

I've seen one I want. It's currently up at 60K pre reg 17 plate convertible, LCI CP in mineral white.

I've got 4k cash deposit.

Payments are based at 5.9%

And working out at 893 a month.

I'm trading in the 530d, settlement is 25. And there offering 22k. So 3k is being swallowed up with the 530d so I'm going into the m4 with 1k.

Does this sound a good deal or should I push for more of a deal. I can't get better on finance the only deal I can get is the car lowered which the said to deal this weekend they would do the car at 59.5k or I try ask more for the 530d?

Is the car really worth 900 per month mate?

I would be pushing for a much better deal.

So I'm right in saying they are offering 500 discount on a pre reg but otherwise new car?
Also at 60k list price for a new car what is the spec it must be poor? I'd go elsewhere and order a factory build and get a much better deal, I know the deposit is very low but as said above 900 for an M4 isn't worth it

I think my problem is the 530d otherwise I may have got a better deal. Figures prob would have been low 8's. Yes car has 10 miles on. Seems spec' up. Car is meant to be 68k new

I'm not an expert on PCP deals, but from what I do understand, this doesn't seem to be a very good deal at all??!!! Which dealer is this with?

1. 893 a month is crazy money, especially if you're putting 4k in
2. 60k for a pre-reg sounds pricey.... I'm sure I've heard of others find deals for similar pre-reg cars in the mid-50s
3. Trade-in values for your 530d can vary quite a bit from one dealer to the next. TBH, the trade value is a bit academic.... it's more about the "cost to change". Depending on how badly they want your business, I'd expect them to massage the figures a little more, to make it worth your while.
4. Better deals are sometimes available at the end of a month or even better at the end of a quarter, when salespeople are more keen to hit targets.... I'd wait till then if not in a big hurry.

Unless you're desperate for this particular car, I'd walk away from the deal. I'm certain you can do much better.
I'm sure somebody else will chime in soon, with specifics of better deals that are out there

I'm putting 4K in, but 3k is being swallowed up cos of negative equity I have in the 530dz so essentially I'm going into an m4 with 1k deposit. If I didn't have the 530d then I would be looking at 830 a month with 4K in.

And it's a pre reg lci version registered June 17. Dealers is vines in Redhill.

It is a CP version. I have seen mid-50 normal pre-reg m4's, and hi 50 CP versions. I think this is the cheapest LCI I have seen. Essentially at 59.5k

My point is that with a 4K deposit, even 830 is too much!

The only thing that's non-negotiable in your situation is the 25k settlement on your 530d.... If another dealer offers you, say 23-24k for your car, that's reduced your "negative equity" before you even start negotiating on the new car...

Plus, at 60k you're not far off the price of a brand new (with good discount, i.e. 10-15%) CP car, so a pre-reg shouldn't be much more than mid-50s. And the finance % rate on a brand new car will be better than that on a pre-reg too...

I'm simply saying in your shoes I'd shop around and haggle some more, before jumping into this deal!!

There's a decent spec 17 plate 14 miles pre reg M4 CP in Black Sapphire at Westerly Dorchester for 55k. That would bring the monthly payment down as GFV would be similar. How much do you want white?

I've had black cars before and it's a personnel preference to having white. I seen a java green coupe looks nice but I would dread keeping it clean. Is that one at 55k an LCI version?

Not sure if it's LCI, it may be.

I've got another garage to call tomorrow or Monday morning. See what they are offering.

What deals are people getting on new factory orders?

What are the GFV on pre reg comp cars? Im guessing its when your buying pre reg ir new that the dealer will be more flexible on clearing negative equity. That monthly figure seems pretty high to me when there are cars out there between 50-55k

That's an insane amount of money to spend monthly - you must really want the car!

Quite frankly just plain silly. Unless your earning over 8k a month (after tax) and want to throw money away 900 is not on.

look harder
