Thanks Alex for sorting me a new policy.
Brilliant quote in comparison to competitors and excellent service over the phone.
One of my mates has also very recently taken a policy with Sky and only has praise for the service he received.
Cheers

Thank you all for the kind comments. And whilst we cant always help everyone we are hugely grateful for all of those that give us a go!

We are running a 10% discount with MOMO Italy - they have a great line of alloys that suit the BMW's - might be worth having a look - discount code can be found here - enjoy.

Many thanks

Hi,

Just called SkyInsurance to get a quote for my M3 and I was told that they couldn't insure me as I'm in the UK for less than 4 years!

It is the first time that an insurer refuses to give me a quote for that reason... I have my insurance on Bell, also asked for a quote with Adrian Flux and none of those refused to quote based on my time in UK.

Did anyone already had this problem?

Thanks for the help.

It could be down to the underwriters not Sky themselves.

Currently insuring my f11 5 series touring and my e92 m3.

6 years with sky insuring my various cars from m3's and rs4's to Porsches.

A fab bunch and great prices / service. Keep it competitive and we'll enjoy another 6 plus years.

Thanks

Sky, do you do trackday cover for Nurburgring as an organised tack day? It only shows UK tracks on your website drop down.

We can only provide cover for UK based tracks I'm afraid. Nurburgring is a difficult track to get cover for!

Took cover out on my CS with Sky. Was really easy to deal with and they got me a great price. 430 fully comp, 33 years old, 5 years NCB, social domestic and commuting. This is with the car parked in Reading town centre so the crime rate is notoriously high. As soon as we move out of town I'm expecting the premium to go down a fair bit (fingers crossed) as the car will be securely garaged. Cheers Sky

Had a quote off Alex from sky insurance, 460 fully comp, 32 years old, no convictions, 10 Ncb, can't fault that price considering I was paying more for my megane 225. Can't recommend them enough.

Sorry we couldn't quote you.

It is not that you are too high risk, but going by the info you've put there, it appears our underwriters are unwilling to cover an M3 parked on the street in a certain London postcode.

It is not uncommon for specialist underwriters to request that a car of the caliber of an M3 is parked off street. Especially if its in a busy/built up area. Without meaning to cause worry, even a wing mirror claim could easily exceed the cost of your annual premium.

This doesn't mean we can't cover any cars parked on the road, but we can't, and don't promise to quote everyone who gets through to us.

I trust the advisor was polite and helpful, at least. And thank you for trying us anyway.

Cheers, Alex
