Hi all,

Winter is only a hop skip and jump away...what are people running in the way of winter wheels and tyre combinations ?

I usually purchase a fiesta or something similar come October time and park the m2 up in the garage, the last one I bought was 800 still running sweet as my niece owns it.

I've got a set of 437ms with mich Alpin winter tyres on them in the garage that I don't need anymore having sold my m4. I had them coated in Ray's bronze and they look great. If you are interested then pm me and I can share some pics etc as I will be selling them in the autumn.

Don't wish the summer away yet tho! Cheers

Michelin Alpin 5's and some second hand wheels....

Good time to buy some now while they are still cheaper...

You won't need them on until about the beginning of December unless winter comes early but,

During then, Jan and Feb, whenever its, cold ( below about 8 deg ), wet, frosty, icy, snowy, slushy, muddy, fallen leafy !! salty or just plain slippery,

they will give you grip you could only dream about getting with summer tyres in those conditions...

I have run them on my company cars ( not M's unfortunately !! ) for the last 4 winters and such a massive difference and I previously thought they were just a gimmic...

And thats the same set and they still have 6.5mm of tread on having done around 14,000 miles in total during those 4 years, so good for another few yet...

I’ve got a tidy set of 437m’s with Michelin alpin fitted which I planned to rotate every November/ March.

Only used them for two months and had to sell the car. They’re still sitting in my garage if anyone wants them at 1600.

Unbelievable tyres in bad weather.
