Hi Paulo,

Yes there is a weight difference between the standard oem exhaust and the Eisenmann. The Eisenmann exhaust is approx 5 kg lighter than the stock exhaust

cheers Phil

Is this a feature of all the variations for the E46 M3 or does it depend on tips, tailpipe type/size and whether it is Sport or Race option?

Also are the noise levels quoted a linear increase across the rev-range or are they the maximum?

I notice that you haven't mentioned the Factory Sport option, is this one not available or is it just not popular? Yet even that one is twice as loud (3db) as stock.
Do you have any response to my earlier questions?

sorry i must have missed your questions , but here are the answers

- which ever tail pipe option you go for you will be able to clearly see all 4 tips from the diffuser

- the db levels quoted are an approximate level given to us from Eisenmann but every car is different and can react louder of quieter.

- factory sport option is no longer available , the only two options they have are sport or race

thanks Phil

I realised I would see the tips
It's the rest of the silencer I could see in the photos, the whole lower section that traverses the car.

sorry i misunderstood, Yes you will see the bottom of the rear box under the car with all of the tail pipe options. The only way around that would be to buy a new rear diffuser

thanks Phil

ok here is a bone question, what is the best sounding aftermarket zorst for the e46 m3?

the reason I ask is me stock system is looking very very dull, and i cant be bothered cleaning the tips anymore and I am considering a new system

Do i really need to answer this The noise a car makes can be seen in many different ways by different people. Everybody is different so opinions will be different for most people for which is the "BEST" sounding exhaust. It is down to own personal preferance. But imho you will not get a better sounding exhaust than Eisenmann all be it a sport sound level or a race sound level.

cheers Phil

the reason I asked is, you have probably heard all different ones, whereas I havent heard any apart from stock, or vid clips on utoob, which you cant tell at all, thats why I stated Bone question at the begining, my ears are also ****ed from playing too much bass guitar at volumes that would confuse and divert migrating whales

I am interested in getting the eisenman exhaust

You are correct. We have tried and tested alot of exhausts on our own Supercharged E46 M3 inc Gruppe M / Dixis Japan / Ac Schnitzer / and Eisenmann and the one we have stuck with for the quality of product and the right sound has been the Eisenmann. But again one man's shed is another man's Rolls Royce but in our opinion you won't be dissapointed with an Eisenmann exhaust on your car

cheers Phil

I really liked the Supersprint Racing system. This one I am considering along with the Eisenmann with real difference being it's much lighter than Eisenmann.
I been in a car with gruppeM on but it was too loud. Great experience.
ACS not really special.

Hi DoZZa,

We don't keep these in stock. They are a custom made to order piece which normally takes approx 3-4 weeks from time of order to be built. It would be impossible to keep so many different exhaust styles on the shelf e.g. for e46 M3 there are 6 different exhausts

cheers Phil

The SS Race wins hands down for the best sound and weight

Not feeling them rediffusers especially to cover the zorst up

Whats that all about when there custom made?

I bought the Eisenmann Sport with additional tip silencers from CA, and it is without a doubt the best exhaust I have heard. For me an exhaust on a car of this quality shouldn't sound like a trombone. Loud exhausts on really fast track focussed cars are one thing, but the M3 is not a really fast car, it's an all round fantastic package that shouldn't be ruined by a chavvy can barking at the back that makes almost no difference to performance. My Eisenmann even with non resinated mid pipe and sports cats doesn't drone, and it doesn't make me want to go on a murderous rampage by the end of the journey to the Nurburgring. It does however sound extremely purposefull, and looks sweet with the 83mm tips as well.
Just my 2p
