Well on the bright side I have both bootlids available although I do think it looks good on the CSL lid like you.

Think it would look better on the stock bootlid

There is the " Clubsport" rear spoiler listed in realoem for the E46 which looks similar.
p/n 5171895560. Listed at £750 retail. Dont know what its made of and it only comes in
primer. However at least it was intended for the car.

Got one from Germany, lightweight carbon and good quality, including CNC machined uprights. Getting it fitted shortly, although some debate over which bootlid to put it on as for a CSL boot lid you will have to machine the uprights slightly to accommodate the curve in the lid versus the stock flat bootlid - but right now going with mounting on my CSL lid.

Will report back with pics etc.

Looking forward to seeing the pics as I want to do it to my car but was worried it wouldn’t look right or look out of place

Right - at last it is fitted - I absolutely love it. I also fitted it to my standard bootlid rather than drill into the CSL lid.

cheers

You will feel the difference. Running a larger wing and while the lap times have not dropped by much pit straight (talking Brands here) is 15 mph slower. Makes a hellofa difference in corners. Good job mouting it on original bootlid, CSL lid due to its shape push somewhat turbulent air under the wing which does not help.

Reinforced under with a steel plate. The reason it's so far back is so that it works

Admittedly my wing and splitter are larger than a GTS Wing and full width CSL splitter, but I'm able to pull 1.5g cornering on road legal tyres. So aero definitely does work on the e46!

You can probably see I also fitted a front splitter at same time as the wing - it’s one from happy buy it now on eBay but it looks decent - did that as I assume you should try to balance out a rear wing.

Do you have to machine the base plates so they fit against the profile of the csl boot? I really fancy one for mine but worried about ruining a genuine boot

Track car, so didn't have to be perfect. You could machine them, but would be very hard to get them perfect.
