This is a cherished car that I have spared no expense on. It drives and performs as it should with no knocks and no mechanical or electrical issues. The SMG II system works perfectly and judging from comments from other M3 owners who have travelled in the car works better than most. Please feel free to contact Martyn Scott and Scotts Performance for a reference on this car as he has worked on it several times and commented on how well it drives and in particular how good the SMG is on this car and also how ‘straight’ the car is when he has done the wheel alignment.

As for bodywork all panels are straight and true and there are no dents. No rust anywhere, not even from stonechips.

As you can see from the photos the paintwork is outstanding. Last month someone reversed into the front of the car damaging the CSL front bumper that was on the car. The third party insurers paid for the repair to the bumper and whilst in the bodyshop I also had the bonnet, wings, and also the OEM bumper painted. I also treated the car to a new front bumper air dam grille and fog light surrounds.

For those that worry about insurance claims I can assure you that this car is NOT cat registered and is HPI Clear. Please see my journal for pictures of the bumper damage.

Whilst it was in for the above the bodyshop kindly machine polished the entire car to remove swirl marks and really make the paintwork shine. They also applied several coats of wax. Be under no illusion this car is 13 years old and therefore there are some stone chips to some panels, most notably to the leading front edges of the rear wheel arches. There is also a scratch on the offside rear quarter panel which is very hard to picture and has to be pointed out to be noticed.

The rear bumper has a scuff around 3 inches long (partly on the bumper and partly on the diffuser section) this may polish out with some work but it never bothered me and is only noticeable when pointing it out.

I can’t speak for previous owners obviously but in my ownership I’ve always used the correct engine oil (10W60 Castrol Edge), diff/gearbox/etc fluids, and always run on Shell V-Power. Each year on the Inspection service I’ve also had the gearbox, diff, coolant and brake fluid changed too.

The wheels were refurbished by BJV Engineering (http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk) the rears in April 2015 and the fronts in January 2016. All new centre caps were bought in April 2015 and new M logos each time. The rears have a couple of stonechips and the fronts are unmarked.

The interior is in excellent condition and everything works. As you can see the leather is very good with only minor wear to the drivers side seat as expected. It’s recently been treated to Gliptone cleaner and conditioner and smells nice and leathery. The only aspect that lets the interior down is the Titan Shadow trim which is showing it’s age and the usual paint deformation. I have brushed aluminum trim that a buyer can have that can be negotiated as part of the deal.

This is a very regrettable sale due to change of employment circumstances the capital is required for investment in my new venture. Were it not for this the car would be staying.

Please excuse the dirty exhaust tips, they were the one area I forgot to clean! Will polish them up ready for viewings!

Strangely enough I love it in OEM form. When I originally bought it it had cracked rear springs and worn RTABs which I soon replaced with lowering springs and new RTABs before I moved to coilovers. Now it's back on the OEM dampers and brand new rear OEM springs it feels very good. Very impressed with the damping of the OEM shocks mated to the OEM spring rates. It probably also helps that the car has been polybushed etc.

Why anyone that doesn't use their car on track would fit coilovers is beyond me now! A sorted OEM M3 is a very good machine indeed.

Had a chap drive an 8 hour round trip to see the car over the weekend. He loved it however he wanted to also view a 25k 50,000 mile CS at Munich Legends before making a decision.
