Exclamation Interesting Facts

A boat, generally speaking, is small enough to be carried aboard a larger vessel, and a vessel large enough to carry a smaller one is a ship.

What's your fact of the day?

I don't own a boat or a ship but I do know that my heart is an empty vessel.

Cheers

Polar Bear fur isn't white

It's actually transparent and has no colour, it reflects visible light and appears white

The Colour Magenta doesn't exist as a wavelength, its a figment of imagination. we have 3 colour receptors in our eyes called cones, red, green and blue, when we see Red and blue but it isn't green then are brains sees magenta.

Colour monitors can't produce the colour yellow... I brains see red and green and presume it must be yellow...

The term “posh” comes from the shorthand on ship’s passenger manifests of days gone by. The wealthy would pay for cabins on the port side for their outward trip from the UK, and starboard cabins on the home journey - abbreviated to POSH.

A Panamax ship can carry 70,000 Metric tonnes of corn or wheat.

It will take 5 days to load and should take about the same to discharge depending on the port.

Frozen lobsters can come back to life when thawed.

Eyes remain the same size from birth, but our ears and nose never stop growing.

Earth is the only planet not named after a God.

A jiffy is an actual unit of time. 1/100th of a second.

There are more lifeforms living on your skin than are people on planet Earth.

You can drop a lighted match into a drum of diesel or jet fuel and it'll just go out.

I know it's Friday the 13th Stu but I'm worried about you. Have you had a bang on the head or is this the real you.

You're 'small talk' on the porn set must have been riveting.
