Default Another 'company' issue

Few months ago I bought a one owner low mileage Toyota for my mum from a main dealer. Paid in full, everything went smoothly, other than the car we were part exing, had an old log book. So they asked me to leave the spare key for the new car and they would send it to me once I sent them the newer log book.

In every discussion, I made it clear the car is for my mum and gave them the details.

I received the log book to my name and my name written wrong. No problem, mistakes happen. So I asked Dvla and they adviced I should write a letter and send it with the log book to the dealer who can then sort it out.

So put both the part ex cars log book, new car log book, cover letter and letter to dvla. Sent special delivery.

Didn't think twice as I thought, what could go wrong.

A month passed and I gave them a ring. They didn't have a clue wtf I was talking about. After half an hour, they found the log book for the part ex car and nothing else. Even though they were both in the same envelope.

I was strong in my words when I said, I've done my part, not my fault they lost the log book and all I want to hear is, 'my apologies, leave it with us and will sort this out'.
And so he did.

I received the spare key and the log book for new car received at my mothers house. However, spelt her name wrong and now there is 2 previous owners, me being the previous one. 'Facepalm'

Called up, had a go at them. They sent a driver to pick up log book.

Mum received log book, which now has 3 previous owners. Double facepalm.

This is a main Toyota dealer, who cannot seem to sort the most simplest of things.

What would people advice I do. Im really too knackered to call them again, as I get too angry talking to useless people.

Iíd suggest writing a stinking letter to Toyota head quarters also write to the managing director at the Toyota garage explaining everything and your taking the matter further ie trading standards. Tell them itís not on and you want compensating for all the hassle. Hope that helps.

I had a problem with Mercedes why the new car was registered in my name and not my wifeís name. We had to provide proof to DVLA and they changed it over and she was shown as the first owner.

DVLA may be able to help out here, I canít recall all the fine details but at some point common sense has to kick in.

I do however agree that you should write to Toyota and the Dealer at the very least you / your mum deserve a bit of an apology and some form of goodwill gesture.

If your name is misspelt and you write ONLY your correct name in the change of details section they change it and do not increment the registered keepers.

If you fill in name and address they increment the no of registered keepers

Have you considered it might be a cover up by the government? The mystery extra owner on the log book is the CIA.

I think that's next thing to do.

You would think they would know. Considering the third time round, they sent a driver to come all the way to my house to pick up the log book.

Getting sick of calling companies and telling them how to do their jobs.

Just received a letter from dvla, saying the vehicle hasn't had road tax since end of august.
So mums been driving without road tax for over a month. Because of the companies c0ck up and being a company and not giving a sh1t. When they changed the name, the road tax got cancelled without our knowledge.

I know road tax cannot be transferred, but the car wasn't being transferred to another person, but the name and address amended on it. But the dealer ship *****ed it up. Oh on top of that, the DVLA is holding the road tax money, until the issue is resolved.

When I speak to toyota, its like they are talking a different language.

Spoke to DVLA, who say there is a letter from the dealership, and it will take 6 weeks to process, and in that time, i cannot get road tax.

I have asked toyota uk to send my mum a courtesy car, until it is resolved. Lets see.

This is why I hate companies. They hire dumb idiots and those are the ones you always have to deal with. When you cannot get through to their dumb brains, you end up shouting, as thats nature really. Once you start shouting and swearing, they've won, because now they can hang up on you. Happens in everything, mobile providers, tv providers, all companies, who are nothing but thieves and con artists.

That's what the government want you to think. It's a double bluff. They want you to think they're capable of doing it so they keep you in check While they focus on real issues like faking the moon Landon and keeping us from finding out the world is flat

When you grow up you'll realise that weed and you tube doesn't make you educated. You will look back and cringe at the utter toss you spout. I'll let you know when I'm done.

very easy to be a keyboard hero but it takes years of smoking weed and watching you tube to become truly enlightened. I smoked a lot of weed as a kid but I never reached the higher level you're on where you think you're the only one who's figured it all out. Now pipe down before I quote what you said about the moon landing being 'faked with hair gel and string'

You need your head sorting. I can do this for you, if you pop down.

Reason being, what you are replying in this thread has nothing to do with the serious situation my elderly disabled Mum has. And to be clear, she is only disabled, due to the doctors that YOU praise and trust.

It's not easy to be a keyboard hero, you have to be funny. You have failed here.

Also can we confirm, you're an old bloke offering out people on the internet because we are making fun of your stupid ideas?

You don't want to get too angry about it, you may end up with a stomach ulcer. Then be forced to go to the hospital where the doctors are all corrupted and leave you in a worse state than when you went in
