It makes a difference if you demand more fuel from the car like a supercharger. On a standard engine, you shouldnt really notice anything unless your old one was dying.

True, I wanted to know whether or not the pump or the map were at fault.

My car has done 100k miles too. I am not sure how long the OEM pumps generally last.

I'm about to order a new fuel pump, how are people getting on with the hrc 255lph? My car is stock so it's just a preventative maintenance replacement

Edit - Ordered an HRC 290lph after hearing good feedback, will update with results

Looks like my fuel pump is fubared, so found this thread.

Seeingas a few people have done this, which pumps are good? ie, what should I order?

Found the sleeve kit of hack engineering, so I assume all that's needed is that, and an HRC pump, and it's good to go?

So the next question, for stock M3, what LPH is good? Are the higher values causing problems with anyone? ie, 29o ok?

I fitted the HRC 290 lph and all good, car will be on dyno early summer so will see how its fuelling. Only issue I have now is the fuel gauge is out of sync but i'm sure its just the alignment of the level sensor.

Sounds good. What dod you do with regards to the sleeve? Did you get the radium kit off hack engineering, or something else?

I'd seen some other guy who'd fitted a 290 one, but had some issues, but don't know if he resolved them or it was just thatr something had come loose during install...

With the fuel level issue that you have, how bad is it? Or just a very minor annoyance?

I know this is an old thread but just wondering if anyone had issues with the car cutting out after a couple of mins running after installing a walbro 255lph pump or similar? Sometimes it will start again easily other times it wonít start at all.

Nope mine was fine.

If i do recall there is a bleed valve near the fuel filter under an m3. perhaps something is leaking?

Have you consulted the user manual for the specifications? I would suggest you to consult the user manual of your vehicle before you get an OEM pump. If you do not have the user manual, get a copy of it absolutely free on manuals.co, which possess the exact copy of your carís user manual.
