Default Angel eyes

Hi all,

I know this has been covered a million times... but... what angel eyes is everyone running. Umnitza look great but not worth the money imo.

I wanted to order the CPD gen 3 in white but there not in stock.

Can someone recommend a place to get them.. not sure i trust fleabay.

Any pics of ur Ms with angel eyes fitted would appreciated

I have the Gen 3 from CPD, it was hard to get pics to show them properly, but I think they're pretty bright and crisp

I got some CCFL ones off eBay in white. They've been on a year now without issue and are a good match to the OEM xenons. They were only about 25 IIRC

I got these protron LED ones, fit pretty well and the wiring seems half decent, only €50 rather than €300 from some places!

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The inners don't fit perfectly, the clips hold it at the top but I expected a clip round the bottom really, they just sort of rest there. outers fit really well.

I had the Umnitza Irion V4's on my old E46 M3 and they brightest and best quality lights I have every had. I found the CCFL's breaking down quite alot.

I had some smd ones from cpd and they lasted about 6 years. They a couple of the leds failed and they went out of fashion a bit so I removed them. But then I really missed them!! So decided to get some more. I really like the yellow angels, they match the yellow car and yellow main beam bowls but couldn’t find any. In the end I got some cheapies off eBay and painted them with stained glass paint. Some may not like them but I do, and that’s all that matters!!!

Weird, I've had them on 3 E46s and my mate had a set o his with no issues too.

I prefer them as the light looks more natural than the LEDs

Can I respectfully ask if that is a dig at Angel eye mods being old hat?

The reason I ask is that I asked a simple question on a Facebook page "Angel eyes for an E46 M3, YES or NO" and there were approx 300 replies with complete "hell yeah" and "Hell no" polar opposite answers, very little in between lol

If you like em, get em, personally I think they really work well and look awesome without looking out of place. Just updates the look of the car a little

I run CCFL and have no issues with them breaking down. The only thing I have replaced twice is the ballast but its expected.

Been running these for nearly 5 years now and they are bright but not in your face.

Thank you, I still love them, especially the fade on/off linked to the interior light when you unlock/lock the car with the key fob I may be a bit of a child where that's concerned Mine were fitted in February 2014 and I think they still look good - no issues so far.
You might have noticed if you've looked at my picture thread that I've come to the conclusion it's best to just do what you like to your own car. You can't please everyone, and it's your car, so I just do what I fancy with it. There's always someone (or quite a few!) who won't like what you do, but others who get it. In the end you're the one paying for your mods, and you're the one driving your own car and looking at it most, so go for what you like mate
I see nobody's helped with your question above about xenon vs non projecter - I'm sorry I don't know about your car, but mine's a 2006 and I've just looked at the invoice, and mine are Xenon if that helps...
