Default Clio 182

Just bought this a few weeks ago for some cheap fun over the summer. When i picked it up it was bog standard and due a big service. Genuine renault parts are cheap as chips, so i done oil and filter, plugs, leads, air filter, cabin filter, timing belt kit, dephaser pulley, aux belt kit, then tidied it up with some fresh wiper blades and number plates. The timing belt was a ballache, not so much technically difficult, but access is terrible and really makes simple spannerig a pain in the ass.

Decided to book up to the Clio Sport Owners Club scottish tracknight on at Knockhill, so done a few basic mods to get it slightly track ready. Fitted Bilstein B14 coilovers with new renault front top mounts, powerflex black rears. Uprated front brakes to Brembo HC discs, Ferodo DS1.11 pads, HEL braided lines. And changed the wheels, 15x7 TD 1.2s with Toyo R888s. Tracknight was last night and aprt from overheating the power steering fluid and some rubbing at the front wheel arches it went well.

Before lowering and wheels;

After

And from last nght on track

Got to say its nowhere as fast as my bmws, but its a heck of a lot of fun!

brilliant little cars, Had one same colour in 2011. A cup it was.
Surprisingly nippy and good fun. Keep meaning to get another at some point to take the strain from my M3 that I do 400 miles a week in
