Thumbs up What is Carphonics?

Hello fellow bmw owners

Some of you already know me, as I have been around with my m3 for over 6 years.

Some others know me, from previously having a work done on your units, like the BM54, navigation units, and digital tv conversion, as well as having purchased parts from me.

And some of you have never heard of me

I do more than just the above for other BMW units, like the logic 7, Ask, professional e46 head units, motorbike radios etc. I have gone worldwide, with customers from Australia, to Russia, to America, all over Europe..etc.

It all keeps me very busy, and I am always starting on new projects. One of which, will be upgrading the Bluetooth ulf units, so that newer phones can be compatible with them.

I am also aware that the e9x cars are also having problems with amps failing and the Idrive freezing up. In the future, these will also be repairable/upgradeable, once people are out of warranty stage.

In my work shop, I have a full setup of the ibus system, that I can emulate with ignition on and off signal. A big thank you to John (ccfj1) with help and donation of parts for that project. He recently also, extended the setup, by providing a Bluetooth retrofit loom. He has also tested some of my projects for me, with honest reviews.

I will also be doing a flow chart, for the e46 and x5 owners, where you can diagnose your own faults and pin point them to what it could be. It's all written in my head, just need to get in on paper!

Do check out the website (www.carphonics.co.uk), although its still in working progress, but some of the work I do can be seen on it. I have not yet set up a payment option via website, as I like to keep in contact with my customers and if buying multiple repairs and upgrades, I can then offer a discount price.

If wish to contact me, please either pm me, or even better email me on [email protected].

All the best with this Baris. I'm sure with your previous success and your research/development you'll do even more customers proud

You get charged double, because you have 2 x M3s

I would be very interested in the BT upgrade. Have a hell of a time with the newer phones connecting to it.

Probably an early one then mate, once Baris sorts the upgrade process, then this should really fix all the connection type problems.

(might be worth looking for an updated ULF in the mean time though).

I use the headphones supplied with the phones when I drive the M3 which is max 4 times a month. Ill survive till this upgrade is figured out LOL.

Thanks to both of you for working on this.
