Default Status gruppe

Any one on here had any experience/heard a status gruppe exhaust.

Iím looking to get rid of the Ďraspí I know some of you will shoot me down for that. Along with getting a throaty note.

Status Gruppe do a rasp eliminator pipe, does this upset any of the cars emissions?

They also offer two backboxs a V1 and a SCZA, anyone know the difference and which one would work best?

Thanks

I have just fitted the SCZA back box earlier this week with the 76mm single wall stainless tips and all I can say is itís by far the best sounding exhaust youíll fit to an M3 imo. It doesnít enhance the rasp or make it sound like some nasty fart can nor is it intrusively loud, it just gives a nice deep note with no drone, build quality is excellent and it like a glove but do bare in mind the V1 is much louder.

Rasp eliminator pipes are usually for US cars after they decat their headers (they go in section 1 of the exhaust after the headers). The standard cats already eliminate rasp on euro cars, in section 1.

The only real way of eliminating rasp is a bigger resonator and an X pipe combination, which supersprint sell (section 2 / centre pipe).

Brilliant, thanks for the replies.

Am I right in thinking that the supersprint X pipe introduces a drone?

The resonated one shouldn't, but the unresonated might depending on your sensitivity. I would go resonated for what your are after, and combine with that backbox...

I do believe so yeah but then again any single pipe section 2 will create a little drone some worse than others.

Status Gruppe also do a res and non res section 2 maybe worth a look.
