That is correct AUX is used for the bluetooth. And what i like as well is when you get in your car you get 2 beeps through stereo to let you know its connected.

if you have the bluetooth streaming upgrade done to the bm54, does it use the existing bluetooth connection - i.e. can you still accept and make phone calls via the OEM system, or does it show up a seperate device you need to connect and disconnect to?

I should probably ask how much this is also, and if it requires an existing ulf module of a specific level - mine is gen 6

The bluetooth music streaming works off the auxiliary input. Nothing to do with the ulf.

You can pair both connections to your phone at the same time. Your phone should know which is for phone calls and which is for music.

Only thing you may need is a firmware uograde to the bm54 of it's an old one.

It's 60 for bluetooth. Prices on website www.carphonics.co.uk

Its 40 for firmware upgrade, or if you go for the stage 2 amp upgrade, its included in that.

Hi mate, does yours connect automatically when you get in, or do you have to manually pair it on your phone each time? I have to manually do it, but not sure if it's meant to be like that or I need to change a setting somewhere.

Hello guys!

My bm54 unit had lots of distortion and squealing noises! I've already do the amp upgrade, but the problem persists.

Maybe it's something about the processor chip? Anyone could help me?
I'm from Portugal, so it's difficult to send the unit. If you could try to help me through message that would be perfect.. I just need to know if anyone has experienced that problem and how to repair it (which part is deffected, etc)

Thank you so much in advance!

Fitted my stage 2 bm54 and am blown away with the difference it has made! Sound is massively improved, much much louder and sounds like a proper high end system now

Bonus of having the aux in is it doubles as a handsfree as my galaxy s6 mic picks up the sound and it plays the recipient through the speakers!
