Default Sound deadening removal dry ice

Hi - i was researching removing some sound deadening from my car - as i still have front carpets, thought I might start there as I could cover up any mess easily. Whilst looking on internet came across removal using dry ice - looked ra fair bit easier compared to a heat gun approach - anyway tried that before?
