Well it's been a while since I posted

Nothing has happened as the M is still currently SORN (until May 1st this year)

But things have slowly been happening behind the scenes

I had a line of dead pixels arrive on the Satnav headunit end of last year- not a major issue but very annoying!
Also the headunit is the cassette type so a plan was hatched to keep an eye out for a newer CD type in immaculate condition with a fully working screen!

A few came up but people wanted too much money or were being off when I asked is it mint! Anyway John aka CCFJ1 on here had a mint CD style one come up for sale one day on here last month, within 15mins of the sale being posted it was mine- also at a fantastic price

It arrived well packaged within 2 days - so that's ready to fit (Thankyou John)

Also I've been in contact with a Company since July '17 regarding a list of things I wanted sorting that have been niggling me for a year or 2- the list has kind off grown and grown (and the costs getting bigger n bigger lol)- and a date has been booked fairly soon for the following to get done!.....

Bits that have been bought and are sitting in my back bedroom ....
1. New genuine Audi RS6 390x36mm discs

2. KW Clubsport coilovers with KW adjustable top mounts also with new KW droplinks
Rear Rogue Engineering top mounts

3. New front Brake stone guards for Discs

4. 2x front OEM wheel bearings and hubs

5. All new Front and rear inner arch plastics including liners/clips/grommets/nuts

6. MRG Titanium 82mm Stud kit with Tuner nuts

7. Front upper suspension reinforcement plates

8. ATE TYP 200 fluid

9. OEM CSL Door brackets (x4)

10. Odd components/fluids etc

The work he is doing is a total freshen up whilst the car is in bits

Mainly fit new front RS6 390mm discs-also machine discs for correct PCD and BMW lug/security screw holes (as per OEM)
bleed system with new fluid
New wheel bearings and brake stone guards
KW Suspension with full Geo setup
Fit Titanium stud/Tuner nut kit

Remove arch liners replace with new OEM including CSL items
Whilst removed paint all inner arches glossy Silver Grey

Remove CSL door cards and install new CSL brackets

Put back together

With everything that will be done it'll be a new car- be nice to hopefully use it abit more this year

Also got some alcantara trimmed items to fit

Vanos seals to fit

Next year will be ....
bottom end bearings

Currently Sat on shelve in my garage.....
New Clutch/Flywheel etc
SMG springs/bolts
Genuine CSL SMG ECU

Also.....
Buckhart SMG Motor
Powdercoat Underside components for mini freshen up
Suspension parts

Will update with pictures soon

Why are you fitting KW Clubsports Paul? They are really harsh for road use and unless you see a lot of trackdays the really are overkill. The fronts are very noisy due to the solid top mounts. You are better off going for something like a V2 or a V3

Have spoken to a few people who run them on the road most of the time and they say they are firm but fine (the current HSD's) are very firm so kind of used to it?!

Also got them for a great price....
If the car was a daily and driven 8-10k+ miles then I'd be fitting the V3's etc

I don't do the mileage anymore (1-2k miles a year max) so Will give them a go- if they are no good they will be removed when the car is SORN and others bought
Worth the risk as I won't lose any money if I re-sold them on

I've used HSDs in the past and they were very soft. Clubsports are tooth rattling hard trust me! As you say you don't do many miles but see how you go.

Love those brakes! Must remove my plastics to and have a good look behind the arches.

Would that tiny little plastic square that sits in the passenger ( and driver) arch lining be up for grabs?

The little thing that blocks the air flow to the brake.

I have been looking for a passenger side one for some time. Threw mine out by mistake
