I never understood the fuss for Ducati's until I bought one... Few evenings in the garage required as the old girl had been left to corrode but she's acceptable now (full nut and bolt strip down planned in the distant future but as the 748SP's are just going up & up in value I'll hopefully enjoy it for a few more years before the full restore/ living in the house plan goes ahead

The best induction noise I've heard on a motorcycle.. and I've ridden/owned a lot of bikes over the years!

Did a small review on it a few years back, hasn't been ridden like that in a while - fear of break down or mechanical failure

I had an 848, a 2008 that I bought with 2300 miles on the clock, it had a full Termi system and associated ECU and air filter. I loved the bike, it was a second, the main one being a R1200GS Adventure.

I did a track day and the MCN journalist attending commented that he found the 848 the best Ducati for road use. the balance between power and handling are just perfect.

My son now has it, we get our local racers to service it. It would look good in my front room, it's a work of art.
