Default First M3

I've recently bought my first M3 and first BMW after only owning Fords, last car was a MK2 White Focus RS.

I've bought a Frozen Grey 2010 E92 DCT, with EDC with the competition alloys.
The car is standard apart from a remap giving 440 bhp and 325 lb.ft
I'm planning on doing the 2 pipe mod to the OEM exhaust and i have also changed the chrome kidney grilles for gloss black ones which gives the car a meaner look. No other mods planned.
Any info on where i could get the 2 pipe mod done in Scotland (NE preferably) would be much appreciated!

Still getting used to the M3 as a daily driver and the DCT. The car is comfier and more usable in town than i was expecting, also averaging 23 mpg which is more than i was expecting too!
The matte paint also attracts a bit of attention which i don't mind and i personally think looks great. Not usually a fan of matte paint, especially black ,but BMW have got it right with the individual frozen colours.

Loved my Focus and was sad to see it go, but the M3 is in a different league performance wise and the V8 howl is addictive, hoping the exhaust mod will enhance that further!

Car looks great. Mods are subtle but make an improvement.

Welcome!

Thanks, I loved the RS, was a real bucket list car for me as id been brought up with fast fords in the family.
Only the interior quality let it down for me but wouldn't hesitate to recommend one (i know they are not everyones cup of tea though.) The 5cyl Engine was the star of the show.
I'm sure I'll have a MK3 in the future even if it does look a little tame in comparison.

Made the same jump last October, the RS is a fantastic car but the M3 is a totally different beast. However 440 bhp from just a remap sounds a bit optimistic mate.

I was going to say but didnít want too,it wonít be 440 with just a map, maybe 420 but either way better then the rs!

Thanks, pleased with it for sure.
Definitely in a different league. 440bhp according to Swift Tuning in Dorking, not had it on a rolling road and not driven other DCTs to compare, but its plenty fast whatever BHP it has.
