Car: 2007 330d M sport daily,2005 silver grey coupe track car ish !
Colour Combo: Silver grey/black
Default F30 330/335d m sport

Hi guys anyone had any experience with the above cars ? I find it pointless having the m3 sit about doing nothing with lots of money tied up in so Iím think of moving onto one of these , something with grunt and something your not worried about using day to day .

Cheers
Rob

Hi Guys

My brother has just picked up a facelift LCI 335d Sport and it is a fantastic all round package. It's the shadow edition Packed with torque and many extras as standard. The xdrive is fantastic and compliant in the rain and with 680nm'ish torque on tap and still able to achieve 40mpg +, you cannot go wrong at all. Soundwise, it's a diesel. Don't expect much.

Ditto,

Same here, been tempted myself by one of these. Seems like good value for money considering the performance.

Only issue seems to be handling which is cheaply fixed with new ACS springs if really needed.

I have used a F30 320d on and off for over 3 years and its had zero issues and nice enough place to be.

Picking up a 435d on Friday as a daily replacement for the E92 M due to long term deteriations on my commute route, i'll post my thoughts on it once i've had time to "bond" with it

If you go for the 35d or an xDrive model (all 35d's are xDrive) get an example with the adaptive suspension, cars without it suffer significant body roll in the corners.

I bought a brand new 335d m sport plus with every option ticked last year. I ran it for 9 months and 30k miles.

It did everything it said on the tin impeccably but was incredibly boring and due to the SE suspension on X drive was wallowy.

An M car it isn't.

I actually don't find the M4 much worse on fuel on the motorway.

They also depreciate like rocks

I've owned my F30 330d for about 4 months now moving from my E46 M3, much for the same reason that I had money tied up in a car I was always worried to use (millage/dents etc.)

I personally really enjoy driving the F30, nice place to be and does everything very well, I find the 8speed auto box good too and the paddles very responsive!
