boring bit first.............. we normally just drive round town with the odd sunday blast - so 17Mpg(OBC) is the norm..............

we went to Brand hatch and it was 470 miles round trip............ taking a stead 70-75Mph and a few sections of 50Mph Average speed sections - the OBC read 29.7mpg when we got there(i did see 30.0Mpg during one 50Mph section) and 28.5 when we got home. I did do a proper measurement from full to full tank based on cost of fuel etc and it gave 29Mpg.......... so we were pretty happy at that!

the interesting bit.................... Mrs Max sells Thomas Sabo jewellery in her shop and they rang to say we could have free DTM(German touring cars) tickets............. what we didn't realise that as Thomas Sabo sponsor one of the teams we would be in the Mercedes VIP hospitality area on the next table to Jenson Button, Paul di Resta, David Coulthard and Gary Paffett(DTM race winner)......... free hotel, food, beer, pit lane access - the works!!

At the mileage I do I have another 6 months of use left on my current tyres, but grip is falling off a touch (is this a characteristic of the Vreds when they start tyo get low?), so now's the time.

Anyone know where I can score a good deal on some in 265/30/19s at the moment?

Thanks for any nods in the right direction ;)

A very good friend of mine who I only see may be once a year due to the fact that he lives between here (UK) , Turkey and USA heard that I had acquired an M3 Coupe and being a big M3 E46 fan himself and getting one of the first batches that arrived in UK back in 2001 thought that I would appreciate a little gift which arrived this morning by Royal Mail that he got from the BMW stealer's when he picked up his E46 back then.

 It's a limited edition of only 100 made (if he remembers right) of a M Coupe time piece which he has never worn and thought that I would like it as a keep sake and to wear at any M3 meets that I go to.

To be honest I am over whelmed at his generosity as its something I will treasure mainly because he is a very very good friend and the fact that its got the M logo on it and he gave it to me :)

I am planning to do a loft conversion as we want a master bedroom and en-suite.

So far we have planning permission "certificate of lawfulness" done and drawing being submitted to building control. I will be getting a few local builder around to get some quote these few weeks, we would like to have it done before Christmas this year.

Does anyone know any loft conversion specialist near Bromley/Orpington? We had 2 x extensions done at this property but we would like to know a "loft specialist". I heard that builder and loft specialist can both do the job but a loft specialist do this all day long and more efficient and cheaper?

Anyone?

I have been given an option to upgrade the standard 18's that come with the new e-class to the AMG 19's for not very much more, the problem is I have never seen one on the road with the 19's (it will be an estate), they are all running 18's.

Is there a reason for this or are Merc drivers just tight?

I just got new lenses and foglights from GSF.
Firstly, I got really stung by the delivery charges, 60 GBP to Warsaw.
Secondly, instead of getting the nice OEM look foglights I expected, I got these instead::eek:

Do these even fit? Are the M3 fogs different than rest of the E46 series.

Does anyone here have pictures of these fitted to E46 M3?

I am not sold on the look at least now and thinking of returning them :(

Thanks!!
